Objective: Source of Asia (SOA) supported the Alabama Department of Commerce in exploring business opportunities in Vietnam, providing market insights, and facilitating high-value connections to strengthen trade and investment ties between Alabama and Vietnam. The goal was to create a structured market entry strategy, ensuring Alabama businesses could navigate regulatory challenges, identify potential partners, and establish long-term collaborations.

Project Background:

As a growing economic hub in Southeast Asia, Vietnam presents a promising market for Alabama-based businesses looking to expand internationally. However, entering the market comes with challenges such as understanding local business regulations, identifying reliable partners, and establishing a strong industry presence. To bridge these gaps, SOA designed a targeted trade mission, enabling Alabama companies to gain first-hand experience and strategic connections in Vietnam’s dynamic business landscape.

Solutions:

Business Networking & Delegation Support

  • Organized a five-day delegation trip across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, introducing Alabama businesses to Vietnam’s key industry players.
  • Hosted a high-level networking event with 30 industry participants, fostering meaningful discussions and potential partnerships.
