About the SelectUSA ASEAN Roadshow 2025

Organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce, SelectUSA is the premier federal initiative that facilitates foreign direct investment into the United States.

The ASEAN Roadshow 2025 will tour Vietnam and Indonesia from November 3 to 7, creating a platform for targeted investment matchmaking, workshops, and site visits.

Last year, Vietnam sent one of the largest ASEAN delegations to the SelectUSA Investment Summit. This year, the country leads again, with 134 participants, ranking third globally and first in ASEAN. The strong turnout reflects Vietnam’s rising ambition to expand globally and strengthen ties with the U.S. economy.

Hanoi Nov 3rd: Program Overview

The Hanoi programme will begin with a morning seminar and networking session connecting American and Vietnamese business associations. Participants will explore investment incentives, bilateral trade opportunities, and collaboration channels between the two nations.

In the afternoon, the delegation will visit local investors, regulatory authorities, and a tech incubator. These visits will give participants an inside view of Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem and its fast-growing startup scene.

The day will end with a transfer to Ho Chi Minh City for the southern program.

Ho Chi Minh City Nov 4th: Program Overview

In Ho Chi Minh City, the schedule will include a high-level seminar, B2B meetings, and site visits. Participants will meet investors working in strategic sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and digital technology.

These activities will help delegates gain first-hand knowledge of Vietnam’s industrial zones, supply-chain networks, and digital transformation efforts. As a result, they will better understand why Vietnam has become a top FDI destination in Southeast Asia.

A Partner for Global Growth: Why Vietnam?

Vietnam’s Investment Outlook

The United States remains Vietnam’s largest export market, while Vietnamese investment in the U.S. is expanding. More than 200 registered projects now link both economies.

Vietnam’s priority sectors for U.S. partnerships include:

  • Manufacturing and advanced technology
  • Food and beverages
  • ICT and digital innovation
  • Healthcare and life sciences
  • Construction and infrastructure
  • Logistics, agrotech, and distribution

These sectors mirror Vietnam’s development strategy to upgrade its industrial capabilities and move up the global supply chain.

Why Vietnam Selectusa Asean Roadshow

Vietnam’s top export destination is still the United States. The country’s investment in the United States is still expanding, with more than 200 projects registered so far.

Why choose Vietnam?

Vietnam’s political stability, strategic location, and skilled workforce make it an ideal investment hub. The country’s manufacturing base, supported by modern infrastructure and competitive labour costs, allows companies to diversify their supply chains beyond traditional markets.

Moreover, Vietnam’s participation in key free-trade agreements, including the CPTPP and EVFTA, provides preferential market access to both the U.S. and Europe, positioning it as a gateway for global investors.

Source of Asia’s Role at the Event

Source of Asia (SOA), as a regional expert in market expansion and supply chain and sourcing development, will join both the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City programs.

Representing the Empire State Development (ESD) project, Mrs. Tra Le, Market Expansion Director, and Ms. Huong Tran, Sourcing & Supply Chain Expert, will engage with U.S. investors and local business associations.

Their participation will help introduce New York State’s trade and investment opportunities to Vietnamese enterprises while promoting ASEAN-U.S. cooperation in manufacturing, clean energy, healthcare, and technology, and vice versa.

Through this collaboration, SOA continues to bridge markets, connect investors, and foster long-term partnerships across the Pacific.

Conclusion

The SelectUSA ASEAN Roadshow 2025 offers a unique opportunity to deepen U.S.–Vietnam economic cooperation and highlight Vietnam’s growing role in global trade.

Source of Asia is proud to represent Empire State Development at this high-impact event, fostering partnerships that strengthen trade, investment, and innovation across the Pacific.
