By combining price competitiveness and enhanced production capacity, we aim to reduce their dependence on a single market while ensuring the quality and reliability of their supplies.
Project Background:
Our client has been a specialist in distributing pet products, particularly wooden items like dog houses and bird cages, chicken coops for over a decade. With an increasing focus on metal cages, they are eager to explore alternative sourcing destinations beyond China. Source of Asia (SOA) has been entrusted with evaluating and presenting viable options to them.
Solutions:
We have devised a two-phase approach to address our client sourcing needs effectively:
- Phase 1: Sourcing Mission Service
Conducted comprehensive sourcing missions to identify potential suppliers in Vietnam.
Evaluated suppliers based on criteria such as production capacity, quality standards, and price competitiveness.
- Phase 2: Buying Office Service
Continued engagement with selected suppliers on behalf of our customer.
Managed operational activities including purchasing, sampling, and quality control, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
Results:
Following the successful completion of the Sourcing Mission service in 2023, SOA transitioned into their buying office in Vietnam, fostering ongoing collaboration with chosen factories. This strategic move has enabled them to diversify their sourcing while maintaining product quality and reliability, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the pet product market.
