To offer comprehensive support to COREP, a leading French company in the lighting industry and a prominent player in the lampshade market, and they seek to expand their operations in Vietnam. This support entails streamlining the process of sending samples, sourcing materials, and providing regular drawings for quoting purposes, thereby facilitating the development of new designs.
Project Background:
COREP enlisted the expertise of Source of Asia (SOA) to bolster its presence in Vietnam, among other target markets. With well-established departments and operations in France, COREP primarily focuses on lampshades procured from Vietnam. SOA assists them in realizing their vision by managing their showroom, coordinating sample deliveries from suppliers, and consistently offering design drawings for quoting purposes. Given COREP’s commitment to eco-friendly practices, particularly endorsed by ADEME (the French agency for Ecological Transition), their emphasis on lampshades crafted from natural fibers sourced from Vietnam, notably bamboo products, is a significant aspect of their strategy.
Solutions:
SOA provides comprehensive support by managing the showroom, coordinating sample deliveries, and facilitating the quoting process for new designs. Additionally, SOA focuses on sourcing bamboo products and lighting fixtures made from natural materials, aligning closely with COREP’s preferences and ecological objectives.
Results:
The collaboration has yielded the development of two new lamp ranges comprising a total of 10 different product variations in 2023. Notably, two of these variations emerged as best sellers, contributing significantly to a turnover of $70,000 in 2023, marking a remarkable success within a span of five years. With over a decade of collaboration between COREP and SOA, there is optimism for continued collaboration and the successful implementation of future projects.
