On January 30th, a webinar titled “Doing Business in Vietnam 2024” was organized by Santander in collaboration with HRK Group and Source of Asia. The event explored the abundant opportunities in Vietnam and sustainable solutions available for international companies looking to expand their presence in the wider ASEAN region.
During the webinar, the top five sectors shaping Vietnam’s landscape in 2024 were delved into:
- Manufacturing: Vietnam led the region as the top manufacturing exporter and was considered a preferred destination for supply chain diversification.
- Renewable energy: Vietnam was a leader in the clean energy transition, committed to a net-zero target by 2050.
- Healthcare: There was anticipated growth in healthcare expenditure, constituting 5.8% of GDP by 2025.
- Information technology (IT): Opportunities abounded in software development, outsourcing, internet, mobile penetration, digital, and e-commerce.
- Sustainable solutions: HRK Group presented environmentally conscious options for international companies seeking to establish a foothold in Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region.
