Source of Asia has a long-standing relationship with Rubio Monocoat as it started by being its vendor in Vietnam and has become its sales representative since 2018. Once again, Rubio Monocoat trusted us to accompany it on its journey with the Hoa Mai Furniture Design Competition.
Hosting a workshop to present Rubio Monocoat’s products
Every year, this competition rewards the most creative and passionate interior & architecture students. As a former sponsor of this event, Rubio Monocoat renewed its support for the event this year. On this occasion, we hosted a workshop with HAWA Viet Nam to present Rubio’s one-layer coat product to the competing student. Our dedicated staff, which specializes in wood expertise, introduced the product and the methods to apply oils to wooden products. This time was a great opportunity to have an insightful demonstration and discussion with the student, allowing them to test the product in the best possible way.
Personal follow-up through individual interviews
Following this workshop, all students benefited from personal meetings with our staff. Thanks to these interviews each student was able to share his personal expectations in the design of his project and matched them with the technical solutions offered by Rubio products.
Proud of Rubio’s final prizes
This year has been very successful for Rubio’s one-layer coat product, as over the 22 pieces of furniture proposed by the students, 18 of them used Rubio products, including the one that received the 2nd prize. Rubio also had the pleasure of being involved in the design of the chair that received the best customer experience award.

These moments of sharing are an opportunity for Rubio Monocoat to extend its expansion in Vietnam to a targeted audience. But also a source of enrichment by supporting students in the development of their projects and their creativity.
